As part of the project entitle HTM-NET System “Hydrodynamics and Transport of Suspended Matter – Water Levels and Temperature” a partnerhsip has been set up authorising the University of Toulon to install a water level and temperature sensor in Saint-Tropez Harbour.
At the begining of April 2024, engineers from the Mediterranean Institute of Oceonography lab at the Sea Tech Engineers School, Tathy Missamou and Rémi Chemin, installed a station to complete the HTM-NET network for the eastern area of the Provence Alpes Côte D’Azur region. Data gathered is displayed in near-real time on the website.
The aim of the observation network is to model coastal dynamics and study variations in water level and temperature phenomena over long-term (effects of atmospheric pressure, tides, etc.)
